Acrylic
Most of my acrylic pieces are painted on gold leaf – upcycled offcuts from the process of Japanese screen restoration. I particularly love the way in which the gold reflects through the spaces between – something with which I have long been fascinated – and brings its own energy into the composition. With the right lighting, the painting glows. I also enjoy experimenting with the textural possibilities of acrylic paint.
